Attorney/Custody Battle

My best friend is a domestic violence survivor. After enduring violence for years she left the relationship but her battle is not over as in the state she lives in, violence against the wife does not prevent the abuser of joint custody of their children. The former husband was emotionally abusive to the children but he did not hurt them because my friend was there to protect them from him. The ex- husband comes from a wealthy family and hired a great attorney, his attorney convinced my friend’s attorney that they should drop the charges and now the state is trying to charge my friend for a fake police report (which is not true cause the violence was real and she had witnesses). She bows have to pay not only the custody lawyer but an criminal attorney to defend her from the fake police report charges. We called every lawyer in her area and no one is taking pro bono cases, the cheapest one we found is going to charge 1200 dollars to defend her. She also needs money to hire a new family lawyer since she lost trust on the one who made she drop charges. Please help, every dollar counts! This group is big and even a dollar helps!
