Athletes in Christ

For the past 40 years the local church in Stellenbosch, 'Kruiskerk' has organized an outreach project called Athletes in Christ. Every year an unique route through South Africa is chosen for our athletes to run.  Our group consists of 23 students studying at the University of Stellenbosch. Of this 23 students 10 are athletes, 10 make up a singing group and 3 are Personal Workers.

From the 25th of June 2015 until the 16th of July 2015 we wil travel through South Africa to raise money for a South African charity called Bible Media. Every day each athlete runs between 10km and 17km until we reach our overnight town in which the churches wil organise housing and food for us. In these towns the singing group will preform for the local community to raise the funds for our charity.

This year a total distance of 2036km will be done by the athelets on a route from Langebaan i to Hermanus via Merweville, Oudtshoorn, Grabouw etc. A detailed map will also be posted below.

The money we need is for the actual tour. To pay for the fuel and the hire of the busses. Please help us to run, sing, dance and give joy to the community on our route through South Africa.
