Campaign Story
Multiple people were arrested On May 29th at the Justice for George Floyd solidarity demonstration. We're keeping track of things to get more details, but we need to start fundraising to be sure they have access to the legal support they'll need.
The people of Charlotte came out because the people of Minnesota rose up in rebellion after the gruesome murder of George Floyd at the hands of Derek Chauvin.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) attempted to shut down the resistance but failed and were began to make arrests. The cops shot tear gas, fired pellets, brought out the riot gear and the Charlotte community still faced them directly in defiance.
Money raised will be go towards legal funds for all those arrested. The number of arrested is uncertain, but we are looking to support all those who bravely fought racist, murdering pigs!
