We are Steve van Staden & Stefnie Mostert (soon to be van Staden), Founding Pastors of Eltekon Ministries, a Messianic Christian Church, we are currently based in Randburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

We would like to take a few minutes of your valuable time to tell you about us and the vision and plan that God gave us for the Western Cape.

We have to apologise in advance for the lengthy e-mail, but at the end you will realise the worth of it and the benefits to the Western Cape Province.

WHO & WHAT WE ARE

About Us:

Eltekon – אלתקן – meaning

The NOBSE Study Bible Name List reads Founded By God and Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names proposes God The Foundation. Abarim Publications translates our name with God Makes Straight or God Sorts Out (after Ecclesiastes 12:9).

Eltekon Ministries is a Messianic Christian Church. We seek to embrace the Jewish roots and heritage of our faith, while at the same time embracing Christian theology by recognising the transforming power of faith in Yeshua (Jesus) and acknowledging the teachings of the Bible in its totality.

We believe in Yeshua, the promised Messiah of the world. We believe in the Messiahship of Yeshua, His power to save, and His divinity which are the defining distinctions between Christianity and Judaism.

We further believe in:

• the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as Three in One;
• in God that He is omnipotent, omnipresent, eternal, outside creation, infinitely significant and benevolent;
• in Jesus that He is the Messiah for both Jew and Gentile;
• in the Holy Spirit and its gifts;
• in the written Torah, which was taught and fulfilled by Jesus, and that it remains applicable and relevant;
• that the Children of Israel are central to God's plan, we do not believe in replacement theology;
• in the Bible in its totality – the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the New Testament as the divinely inspired Scripture; and
• in eschatology.

We observe the Sabbath and the Biblical Feasts as in Leviticus 23 – the Sabbath, the Passover, the Feast of First fruits, the Feast of the Weeks, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Booths. We practice the Pesach (the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion) and Baptism by immersion. We follow the Jewish holy days – Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah.

Eltekon Ministries Leadership Team

Our leadership team currently consists of Pastor Steve van Staden and Pastor Stefnie Mostert (soon to be van Staden).

Eltekon Ministries Missionary

We are also mission driven to reach people globally with the focus on teaching them of the complete Word of God and equipping them to teach others likewise.

Our Ministries

We will start with an Eltekon Ladies Ministry, Eltekon Men's Ministry, and Eltekon Youth Ministry which will consist of the young members of not only Eltekon Ministries or the retreat workers children but of the community and the Western Cape in general, within the general age range of 5-25 years. This will further be divided into the children's ministry (age 5-12), youth ministry (age 13-18) and the young adult's ministry (age 19-25).

Future ministries will include but not be limited to a sports ministry, prison ministry, street ministry, and more, as well as a Bible College.

Our teachings

Our focus is to teach the Bible in its totality. We define the Word by using the Hebrew and Greek translations so that any confusion can be cancelled out. Our teachings are unique as we incorporate the Christian and Jewish way of thinking in one final product.

Our Vision:

To make a transforming impact in the Western Province, our community, nation, South Africa, Africa and even the world. Helping people to grow through teaching people the complete word of God, helping them to live the word of God by leading them to and help them to connect to the Father heart of God in order for growth and change.

Our Mission:

To be a teaching base ministry that are focused to equip and mobilise people to extend the Kingdom of God in their communities, provinces, nation, continent and even the world.

WHAT WE ARE NOT:

We are definitely not congregation member stealers, we are not a sect of Christianity and we are not a new believe or religion!

The reason for this e-mail:

In October 2014 God has given Stefnie a vision of a Church & Retreat on a farm.

She asked God where in the world is this and He has shown her Montagu in the Western Cape, South Africa.

She then further asked God why in Montagu in the Western Cape, His answer was very clear and simple "that is where My children needs Me the most! ".

You may ask, Why only now is any attention given to this vision? The answer is also very simple – in 2014 Stefnie was single and God knew that she would not be able to do this on her own, but she was not ready for a relationship as she was still healing from the loss of her fiancé 7 years prior. In October 2017 Stefnie and Steve met. They realised that they have the same passion and heart for God's word and work. As only God planned, they fell in love and are now engaged to be married in March 2019.

HOW are we planning to make this massive Godly given vision possible?

By asking you for any donation, that God lies on your heart to bless us with. This is a massive vision with a huge financial need. The amount needed for this Godly given vision & project is: R127 238 429.74. For a copy of our business plan please e-mail us.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH WE ARE A NON-PROFIT COMPANY OR ORGANISATION THE CHURCH AND RETREAT WILL BE SELF SUSTAINABLE WITHIN 3 YEARS FROM STARTING DATE.

Once you have read through the business plan you will realise that this God given vision and project is very unique and also the first of its kind in South Africa and most parts of the world. We have done research and there is none other like this Church and Retreat in South Africa.

Our first target is to raise R3 500 000.00 (three million five hundred thousand rand) this will allow us to buy the farm, cover the rezoning of the farm and help with some living expenses on the farm until we have raised more money to start with developing the Church and Retreat.

Eltekon Ministries are a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC) under registration no: 2018/592941/08. We are currently in the process to become a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) & a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) with SARS.

Donation Rewards

Individuals:

For every donation of R3 000.00 – you will receive a complimentary weekend for 4 people, which can be used for either our women, men or family weekends within the first 24 months once the ‘retreat’ is operational. Accommodation and meals included.

Businesses (team building):

For every donation of R30 000.00 you and your company can use the facilities for 1 weekend or 3 week days for free within the first 24 months once the ‘retreat’ is operational. Accommodation and meals included.

Churches:

Church members (individuals):

For every donation of R3 000.00 – you will receive a complimentary weekend for 4 people, which can be used for either our women, men or family weekends within the first 24 months once the ‘retreat’ is operational. Accommodation and meals included.

Church (management, cell groups, etc):

For every donation of R30 000.00 you and your church can use the facilities for 1 weekend for free within the first 24 months once the ‘retreat’ is operational. Accommodation and meals included.

About the ‘retreat’:

Once fully operational there will be a Church building (seating about 2 000 people), 250 cabins (each will accommodate 4 people) that will give us/you accommodation for 1 000 people, kitchen, dining hall, amphitheatre with boma, swimming pool, hiking routes, and much more plus the quietness of nature.

You will agree that this unique and massive God given vision and project will be a benefit to the Western Cape, maybe not financially but definitely Spiritually.

We do not only need financial (money) contributions, but any other form of contributions, like food, vehicles (4x4 bakkies in particular), caravans, farming equipment, building materials, etc, will make a huge difference and be appreciated, as this will cut the costs on the initial and planned operational start-up costs as per the business plan.
