Appeal to help fight Corona Virus - Feed the Poor#

The novel Corona virus disease or COVID-19, is creating an evolving situation with varied impacts around the world. This disease has already taken thousands of lives in multiple counties. Many of us are already being impacted by the Corona Virus by strict work from home orders and limited outside contact. However, many of us are still fortunate enough to live comfortably within our homes and have access to the internet, cars, and online shopping for bare necessities. If this pandemic has drastically affected the lives of people living in rich first world countries, imagine the effect it has on developing countries with millions in poverty. During our own plight, it is important to not forget others who may be in more need. In an effort to combat the spread of this deadly virus, the Indian government has declared 21 days lockdown countrywide. Sudden declare of lockdown has created havoc among millions of people, particularly the daily wage workers, slum dwellers and homeless people. This vulnerable population source of survival relied upon human interaction and others to make ends meet. However, due to the lockdown, they will no longer be able to work for others or receive money from others. Many of them have mostly exhausted their monthly ration supplies and most of them do not have access to avail rations due to lack of awareness. Most of the students rely on midday meals which have also stopped since many schools have shut down. The street vendors struggle to sell whatever they have. Women employed in household activities were instructed not to come. These people have are shut in their own homes with little or no food at all. They are the most susceptible to starvation and it is likely that starvation will kill them before the Corona virus does. There is already a great lack of awareness of this pandemic disease among these individuals from marginalized communities because many of them are isolated from communities and do not have access to the media or internet. These communities are already vulnerable as they don’t have proper homes, adequate income or sufficient resources. In fact, lack of proper hygiene products in areas such as the slums is another threat to public health. Rahbar foundation has identified a need for these communities and has organized a way for donors to pitch in and help. Your support and contributions will enable us to provide food and basic amenities like medicine, sanitizers and food. The food bags we can supply for a family of four (4) for one month with a donation of just $50 per family. Your generous donation will help recover a broken family, who may be at the brink of financial collapse. Together Insha'Allah we can bring the happiness in their life and change the society. Lets contribute our part and be a pillar in rebuilding society.

Currently, the Rahbar Foundation volunteers are on the ground and offering the relief material, cooked meals, masks and sanitizers to people. We are supplying cooked meals to the poor families and individuals almost every day in Delhi during this 21 days lockdown. We need your support to expand our cooked meal supply to many parts of Delhi. We also wants to start Cooked meals supply service in other cities provided your support and donations. With your $100 donation we can feed 100 people per day. Feeding the poor at the time of difficulty is a kind act of Sawab-e-Jariya. Please donate generously.
