The Mission

Every year Apex Wireless’ fundraising efforts will be supporting charities worldwide.  In February 2013, on their own expense, a Mountain Bike team made up of employees of Apex Wireless will be travelling to Cambodia to cycle through the communities and visit families that have and will receive the donations from this fundraiser.

The Goal

The goal is to raise $50000 before departure on February 20, 2013. All donations will go directly to Hope International Development Agency to fund the construction of a school for 120 students as well as 3-4 wells to allow families and communities access to water for drinking and agricultural uses in the Province of Pursat, Cambodia

Team Goal: $50000

Personal Goal: $2500 (this fundraiser)

Donations

Any amount is accepted as all proceeds from the donations will be forwarded to the charity.

Payments by cheque or cash will be accepted.

If you require a tax receipt please make note when you complete your donation. Receipts will be given for donations of $20 or more.

The Charity

Established in 1975, HOPE International Development Agency's mission is to enable people in the developed world to connect with people in the poorest communities on earth through compassionate giving and other opportunities to help.

This year alone, our work will positively impact the lives of more than one million people worldwide.

The Journey of a Promise

The poorest families of Pursat, Cambodia have endured far more than we can imagine. Their journey toward self-reliance begins with clean water, and continues with education, improved food production, and the formation of groups of villagers committed to helping each other.

  • More than 1 billion people use unsafe sources of drinking water.
  • Basic sanitation facilities are beyond the reach of more than 2.6 billion people.
  • Preventable water-borne diseases claim the lives of more than 5 million people annually - most of whom are children.

Did You Know?

  • If a girl is educated for six years or more, as an adult her prenatal care, postnatal care and childbirth survival rates, will dramatically and consistently improve.
  • Mothers with an education immunize their children 50 percent more often than mothers who are not educated.
  • HIV/AIDS spreads twice as quickly among uneducated girls than among girls that have even some schooling.
  • The children of a woman with five years of primary school education have a survival rate 40 percent higher than children of women with no education.
