On the 9th of February 2020, I will be running the Hong Kong Half Marathon in aid of the Chatteris Reachout summer camps. Running 13.1 miles in a very very humid city demands a degree of lunacy - pleeeeease make it worthwhile and consider supporting this fantastic cause:
The Chatteris Reachout Summer Camps provide free summer camps for students from low socio-economic areas in Hong Kong. The aim of the camps is to help the students overcome the unequal barriers they face by improving their English as well as key soft-skills such as leadership, teamwork, and confidence. It costs roughly HK$1000 (£95) a week to send one student through our programme so a donation of just under £20 would fund one underprivileged student to participate in the programme for one day!
The young people of Hong Kong are currently facing a very uncertain future; equipping a student with the confidence and capacity to communicate in English could be life-changing. Any amount you donate could help transform the future of a Hong Kong student - please share & donate what you can!
