Hi! I deliberated about starting this site, because of the majority thinking asking for donations is tacky.  Many argue if you don't have the money to get married, then don't get married until you do or go to the court house.  While I can understand their point, a wedding is a big day.  We are committing our lives to one another for the rest of our lives; and before anyone starts to argue about the divorce rate these days, let me say that we are fully aware of the divorce rates IN and OUT of the church.  We are both Christians, and have gone to pre-engagement counseling, and we DON'T have our heads stuck in the clouds thinking "This is going to be so easy for us..."   We KNOW marriage will be difficult, and we don't take it lightly.  Divorce isn't really an option for us because we would be giving people such a skewed version of who Christ is.  In a believer's daily walk with Christ, it's not always easy, sometimes it is difficult. In our human nature; we fall, we sin, yet Christ is always pulling us back to Him and ready to forgive us.  This is our model for marriage.   We're not asking for people to fund our entire wedding, we are simply asking for help.  Help to make it memorable.  I have medical bills and a student loan that I am still paying off while working 2 jobs to save and cover daily living expenses.   We are planning the wedding for March 28th, 2015.  If you feel led to give, then we would greatly appreciate it.  If not, then keep any rude comments to yourself.  God loves a cheerful giver. We don't want it if it's out of pity, resentfulness, or anything else.    Sincerely, Anna and Joel
