We are reaching out to you, our dear family, friends, friends of friends and anyone with a love for dogs, with the hope of raising much needed funding for the Animal Voice Association, a small but incredibly impactful family run and owned animal shelter located in Orosi, Costa Rica. Animal Voice Association serves as a loving safe-haven for homeless dogs where they work tirelessly to get the dogs adoption ready. To date this small but mighty shelter has found forever homes for over 400 dogs!! But forever homes don't happen overnight, so the shelter is in great need of financial support so that they continue caring for these deserving dogs.
Our (Eve, Sophie and Penelope) hearts were immediately won over when we had the opportunity to volunteer with Animal Voice during our trip to Costa Rica with Global Leadership Adventures over the summer. The dogs we walked, bathed and cared for are some of the most loving dogs we have ever encountered (check out our photos!). We can attest first-hand to the much needed work the shelter owners Antonio and his mother Alexandra accomplish with so little resource. Costa Rica has a very large homeless dog population - sadly people let go of their dogs for any minor reason. It was easy to feel overwhelmed by the immensity of the work that is needed for this very vulnerable population of animals.
But Antonio's and Alexandra's love for the 38 dogs they currently care for daily inspired us deeply and we couldn't wait to get this page set up! We are humbly asking for your belief in us and your support by contributing to our campaign on behalf of Animal Voice Association. We want to show Antonio and his family that they have our support in continuing the life-saving work they do for these adorable, super cuddly, overly joyful homeless dogs in Costa Rica. <3
No donation amount is too little!
$10 will buy cleaning supplies to keep the shelter sanitary for the dogs
$15 in addition to cleaning supplies, will help with keeping the dogs bathed and groomed
$25 would help in the purchase of blankets, beds, dog food and drinking fountains for the dogs
$50 would buy medicine for the dogs who need it most, especially flea and tick prevention and removal
$100 would purchase vaccines, de-worming medication, vitamins and even more dog food!
$300 pays for veterinary consultations, minor surgeries, including spaying and neutering
We hope you are as inspired as we were. Any and all amounts are very appreciated! We would love to raise the most that we can for this wonderful animal shelter that is so dear and close to our hearts.
Please, will you help us? Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!
