This International Women's Day, create a gender equal world by investing in women's education. Help us raise US$30,000 for AUW!
Asian University for Women (AUW) is a unique institution located in Chittagong, Bangladesh that seeks to cultivate a new generation of female leaders.
AUW believes that social circumstance should not predict potential and their world class liberal arts curriculum prepares students with critical thinking, leadership skills and the confidence to succeed when they graduate.
The Pathways for Promise program identifies highly talented women from marginalized communities such as: Rohingya refugees, garment factory workers, and tea plantation workers. The preparatory course equips these women with the skills they need for undergraduate studies including english language acquisition, mathematics and computer skills.
In honour of International Women's Day, AUW Support Foundation is aiming to grant a deserving woman with a one year scholarship for the Pathways for Promise program.
International Women's Day is a global celebration of unity, advocacy and action, as we use this time to celebrate women's achievements, lets also take the opportunity to accelerate the race for gender parity.
The theme of IWD 2020 is #EachforEqual - lets strive for an equal boardroom, an equal government, equal media coverage and equal success.
Together we can forge a gender equal world, we believe equality starts with education.
