Amy’s Tuition

Hello everyone and thank you so much for taking the time to read and help out with my cause. I am currently a junior at the Univeristy of Alabama majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. My long term goal is to attend graduate school, after obtaining my undergraduate degree, and work towards my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. I have a desire and will to complete this task by the year 2017 and with my determination and your help, I have no doubt that I can and will achieve this accomplishment.

Maybe you are asking, "Why is she fundraising to pay for her education?," and that it a very understanding question, so allow me to explain my story.

I am no longer eligible for financial aid and my mother was helping me pay for my education. My mother is a supervisor of a group home with mentally challenged adults. Her home contained 3 adults and her income is determined by her clients. Earlier this year, her main financial client passed away and the greatest part of her income was lost and she hasn't been able to obtain another client to fill her last client spot. With all of those issues occuring with her, she can not afford to help with my education at this moment.

I have been sitting here pondering on what I can do to get registered for school for the spring of 2013 and I remember reading a while ago about somebody raising money to help pay. So here I am today, asking for your help in achieveing my goals. I promise not to disappoint.

The cost for one semester is around $5000. Classes begin on January 9, 2013 and I need to have at least half the amount to confirm my schedule and the other half by the end of the month.
