Amy Sun Kehoe passed away on Monday, March 27th, 2017, at the age of 47. She fought a battle for 6 weeks that ended with her surrounded by family.

Memorial donations are requested in support of her surviving 16 year old son, Jake Green.

Amy was born in Seoul, South Korea and lived most of her life in Des Moines. Amy attended WDM Valley High school. She worked at many hospitality jobs and most recently as a direct care worker. She loved taking care of her 3 year old grandson, Kaiden. Amy was a loving mother, grandparent, partner and friend to all. She and her boyfriend, Randy, enjoyed going to the casinos and trying their hand at lady luck, even winning big a few times. Charlie, her adored cat, was alway at her side.

She is survived by her two sons, Luke and Jake Green, of Des Moines and her boyfriend, Randy Lack, of Des Moines, her grandson, Kaiden Green, of Des Moines.

Siblings: Eva Goettsch of Marengo, Iowa, Nita Kehoe of Riverton, Wyoming and Alan Kehoe of Coralville, Iowa. Parents: Erna Kehoe of West Des Moines and Rex Kehoe of Ankeny.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and doctors from the University of Iowa hospitals and clinics and Marengo Memorial Hospital for the excellent care and support they provided to Amy during her illness.

  • Maybe you can take a portion of the donations and invest it in a fund that will grow so that Jake can access when he is 18.
