Steve and Amanda Bachrach are heading for an ultra hike of 100km in July. They are training hard and looking forward to the fun, challenge and companionship!!!! They are also doing the hike to support their friends in Autistic Eye.

Autistic Eye is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, which promotes, publishes and sells work by artists with Autism. It creates supplementary income for published artists (they receive payment for any of their cards or prints which are sold) and worthwhile meaningful occupation for some. Work includes layout of art work, writing monthly newsletters, packing cards, responding to emails, processing orders and selling cards at local markets and events.

Their tagline is 'Seeing Things Differently', because they want to see ability rather than disability and because they believe individuals all see things differently.

Since their inception in December 2013 they have held six exhibitions, provided art work for the University of Bath Applied Autism Research Centre, set up several 'outposts' (organisations who sell the cards), won local awards and sold over 11,500 cards.

Money raised will be used to take more artists on board, develop their work and provide more opportunities to showcase work by artists with Autism.

For further information and a video showing the cofounders and some of the artists, visit their website: www.autisticeye.co.uk
