Campaign Story
On 25 October 2018 our lives changed forever. Our 16 year old daughter Alma van Heerden was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia.
Alma has 6 month of treatment left, this includes Chemotherapies, Blood Tests, Lumbar Punctures and Bone Marrow Biopsies. She spends between 3-5 weeks in hospital in isolation with a 2 week brake in between all depending on her blood counts, this cycle will be repeated till we get the all clear, hopefully in 6 months time. Funds raised will be used to ensure that can Alma to continue to receive the best possible treatment at a hospital with a dedicated hemotology unit . Please help us get Alma back to health and to the things she loves and misses, Dancing, Field Hockey, Acting, School and her friends and family.
