#AlitaSequel US Billboard Campaign

There is a good chance that #AlitaSequel talks will happen at Disney soon. The news coverage this week indicated this. That alone might not be reason enough to get exited. But Jon Landau also shared on his Instagram a word of encouragement and reinforced his wish for the sequel. All of that is either a very big coincidence or there is something in the bush. And I think it is the bush.
However if there is a chance of actual sequel talks happening, then I would like to support Jon Landaus ambition to get us the desired #AlitaSequel with some support of our side. Us The Fans.
And if by any means there is nothing happening (what I don't think), it is time to rattle the cage anyways. That's what we are here for. To get ourselfs heard.
A few of you might remember the plane over the Oscars. That's something that got a lot of attention. Alita got snubbed that day. And we came and put her on a spot of her own. Right at the top. That made news. And we need more actions like these to get her to the right place. And us the sequel.

So that is the reason why I want to initiate a billboard campaign this time. The billboard will be located in

The campaing will run from 1st of June till 7th of June.

The total cost of the billboard will be 3117 $ of which 1500$ are already paid at the start of the fundraiser. So the community needs only to raise 1617 $.

Our ads will run every second minute for 15 seconds. This means 30 runs per hour. Within these 30 runs we will have 3 different clips that will run alternatingly.
Each of this clips has a specific focus on an aspect of the AlitaVerse. But all three will carry the message of the AlitaSequel that we desire for.

1) A story focused clip that will give people watching a small glimpse of what they can expect in an AlitaSequel.

2) A clip with our stars Rosa Salazar, James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez, Christoph Waltz and our real life Cyborg Tilly Lockey, which will feature important quotes they made to pledge for an AlitaSequel.

3) A community focused clip with Cosplays & Art that tell the people what kind of folk is behind the fandom and how much passion there is for this property.

The billboard is located in a densely trafficed area in the middle of the city. People can walk around as pedestrians as well which is important. Because we want people to stop by and have the chance to take a snapshot. And the location gives ample room to do this from far and close.

Currently at the time of writing the traffic is at 70% of the usual amount which will even improve until early June. And this circumstance made the billboard even cheaper for us. The company that offered us the billboard also allowed us to have the billboard for just 1 week instead of their regular 1 month which allowed us to have one of a higher quality.

The funding will stop exactly when the targeted amount of money is achieved. In case of failure I will pay back every donated sum manually to each donor. So make sure you check out this page by the end of this funding campaign on Thursday.

I think all in all this is great opportunity to make some noise and support Jon Landau with his sequel efforts. Because no matter what he wants it as bad as we do. The whole cast wants it. It is just a matter of convincing the people with money. And recently we see other fandoms doing progress as well. The movie industry wants new stuff and needs the people. And here we are with a juicy IP that can offspring movies, series, games and so many more. And we will make them see. So let's do what we are good at.
