Alex’s 35th Bday Fundraiser for the Lunchbox Fund South Africa

For my 35th Birthday, I invite friends and family to join me in raising funds for the charity LunchBox Fund in South Africa. Help me celebrate this birthday milestone by helping others and reminding the world humanity is still alive and well.

As you may know South Africa has become my new home over the past 2 years, having the opportunity to make a career in changing little lives for good through tech education at Click Learning South Africa.

Another charity that really hits home emotionally and that I have no affiliation with is the LunchBox Fund. Many young children across South Africa do not have access to food everyday. What's worse is a child in hunger has no drive to learn or to go to school. The LunchBox Fund, through partner schools, supplies young children with 1 meal a day, distributed at school. Through 1 meal a day, young children are incentivised to go to school, encouraged to learn, make friends and give them a starting chance at a better life.

Your donation will not only supply a meal to a child, but it also gives them an opportunity at a better life. Just 1 meal, can make the difference, sounds like an uber eats/deliveroo tag line. But it's more than a satisfied stomach.

As it's my 35th Birthday, the target has been set at $3,500 USD. LunchBox Fund state that 100% of donations go towards providing the meals for these young children. And that 1 meal costs just $0.24. So if we hit our target, we would have raised enough for close to 15,000 meals! That's 15,000 opportunities for a better life.
