Campaign Story
Dear Jewish Community of Hong Kong and Friends of Israel,
The distance from our loved ones as these atrocities unfold is painful and has left many of us feeling helpless. Let’s come together to raise funds and show with ACTION that the Hong Kong Jewish community stands with Israel.
Initially, the idea was to raise money and send personal care packages to soldiers and families in Israel. After much consideration and hours upon hours of phone calls, we learned that there is an abundance of materials, equipment, and products already raised, and we decided to go BIGGER.
We chose to adopt Kibbutz Kfar Azza. Among the kibbutzim that were most severely hit, Kfar Azza is home to some of the most heinous atrocities out of the massacre that took place on October 7.
The thriving tight-knit community of 1000 souls has been decimated, brutally, in less than 48 hours. These people lost their livelihood, their homes and everything they own, but more importantly, they lost numerous loved ones.
All donations will be transparently channeled into the rehabilitation of families in Kfar Aza i.e. psychological treatment, rental fees, rebuilding homes, schools, etc. We have a direct connection, and the money will be transferred in full.
Hong Kong stands with Israel and Jewish people stand united against this evil that knows no boundaries.
-----------
A story out of Kfar Azza:
Itai and Hadas Berdichevsky (30), were murdered by Hamas terrorists who invaded into their home in southern Israel.
Before they were murdered, they luckily managed to hide their 10-month old twins in their shelter. The twins were left alone for 12-14 hours before being miraculously rescued.
This is a tragic story of bravery and resourcefulness, but also an incredible story that is coming out of a miracle survival.
-------------
Regarding personalized packages:
we're working with a source in Kfar Azza and in Soroka hospital to get care packages to those who need it most. All your letters to soldiers and displaced families WILL be sent and received. Please keep submitting those.

In rabbinic traditions, when it comes to mitzvot, the importance of intentions is debatable, but action is essential. There's not much I can do from here, but that's no excuse to do nothing. I only hope that this donation can contribute to saving a life.
