Born as Nuensie Suku and raised into poverty in Loeng Nok Tha, Thailand, she is well known as Nancy Oakley. She has a tenacious spirit that carried her from childhood to teen years when she eventually came to the U.S. during the Vietnam War. Thinking her only way out of the harsh reality of life as a Thailand peasant is to marry an American man, young Nuensie captivates the heart of a U.S. soldier and moves to Utah. After their once peaceful relationship becomes abusive, Nuensie bears two children who become victims of a corrupt system. Years of searching for her children finally leads Nuensie to a new life in Texas, but not without several near-death experiences along the way. One phone call then changes her life as Nuensie learns about the brutal murder of her sister and its subsequent consequences.

Her nephew Anthony Sukto was just 8 years old when his father committed an unthinkable act. It was the fall of 2004 in a neighborhood near Seattle, around 4 a.m., when 911 dispatchers received a desperate call from the terrified little boy. Anthony’s father, Tony Sukto, had brutally attacked and murdered his mother before stabbing Anthony six times in the face, neck and stomach. Convinced that both the boy and his mother were dead, Tony left the house. Anthony quickly called 911 for help. But Anthony survived and he spoke with Oprah two years after the attack to tell his story.

Coming to U.S. she had suffered rape and other abuse before becoming a successful businesswoman and book author. She has shared her story with audiences and readers throughout the world.

Through her Thai Princess non-profit organization against Domestic Violence, she assists other women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Her focus ever since being a victim is to spread awareness and to help raise money to continue to help other victims. Any donation will help her cause and her mission to help stop the violence.
