Adventure of a Lifetime

It takes a lot to put your life on hold for a year, but that's exactly what I did. Although I have been accepted to University, I have put it off until next year because I didn't feel like I was emotionally ready and didn't want to waste my mother's money if I landed up not enjoying it.

I searched high and low for something that I felt would be beneficial for me to do during my year off. I wanted something where I could earn some money and gain travel and life experience. I finally found the Camp America program, where I get to work at a summer camp in the States for 2 months with a month after camp to travel. For me, this is an experience of a lifetime. Not many people get the opportunity to let alone work in the States, never mind at a summer camp. I have officially been placed at a Girl Scouts camp in Virginia and am really looking forward to working with these amazing people at Pamunkey Ridge Girl Scouts Camp. This allows me to visit my sister in Philadelphia who I haven't seen for 3 years.

However, as my mom and I are the only people earning money in our house, it is very difficult to afford this wonderful trip. I am trying my best to pay for as much as I can, as my mom is financially responsible for so many other things in our household. We are looking to fund raise to be able to send me to live my dream on an adventure that I will be telling my grandchildren about. Please help me achieve my dream by donating.
