I am asking for $5,500 to fund a travel trailer/camper for my daughter and I to live in until I can get on my feet again. We need to move out of our rental home by August 15, 2014.
For the last 5 years, I have been unable to work because of my health. With the support of my doctors, I applied for Social Security Disability in 2011 at the age of 35 (which is still pending). I have Degenerative Disc Disease (doesn't everyone?), Facet Disease, Bursistis, Failed Laminectomy Syndrome, and a couple of unrelated health issues. Basically, if I happened to be a horse, I would have been put down by now!
I finally earned my college degree in 2012, but by that time, I was no longer able to work in an office, at a desk. Needless to say, my finances fell apart.
Things have been terribly difficult over the last several years, but there is now good news!!
Because of my recliner and my laptop, I have begun to earn money freelance writing online!! I am on track to being able to earn enough money to support myself and my daughter and I am more grateful than I can begin to express....there is just one little glitch.
Until I dig myself out of the hole, I'm still strapped and am not going to have a place to live. I have decided to try to buy a travel trailer/camper for us to live in over the next year to allow me to save money.
I have a few hundred dollars, but in order to get something that would provide us with what we need, I need about $5,500 more. With that money, we can be snug in a very inexpensive home while my savings grow and I become financially independent once again.
I am a firm believer in: If you don't ask, you'll never know. So, in spite of my pride - which goes out the window when it comes to the welfare of my family - I'm asking for help to get back on my feet. I'm asking for help to buy a modest "home" to live in temporarily. I know I can make it now, I just need some time. I am thrilled that I won't have to live on Social Security Disability and writing has always been a dream for me.
If you can spare a little, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
