Thank you for taking the time to read about my project. I’ll start with a little about my family and myself. I am a stay at home mom to my 7 month old son Gabriel, 7 year old daughter Zoey and 15 year old step daughter Isabelle. I am a full time student at the nearby state university; all of my classes are online. I am also Zoey’s learning coach as we decided to homeschool her this year. We could not afford her private school anymore and the local public school was not a good fit for her. My husband works extremely hard to support our family. He is a salary employee and usually works six days a week. Over the past year it seems like every time we were going to get ahead financially we would have another setback. My husband’s suv finally died its slow death a few weeks ago. He is paying a friend to use their motorcycle to get back and forth to work on until January. My car should be finally paid off in April, but I haven’t been able to make a payment since September. I just won’t have the money to until January. I am praying that we can do something so they will not repossess it; our town does not have public transportation. My husband and I do not want any gifts for ourselves for Christmas and our children do not expect lots of gifts from us. I do want to be able to do something for them though. Zoey still believes in Santa and has been so good. She told me that Isabelle has been good too and that Gabe is only a baby so of course he is good, so Santa will bring them presents also. I can’t bear to break her heart of this. I want her to hold on to her childhood innocence as long as she can. All Isabelle keeps talking about is a big meal for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I guess before coming to live with us she never really had the big family meals. I am so worried about how we will afford groceries and our electric bill until February. So any donations to our family would go to keeping our car, groceries for our family and presents from Santa. I thank you so much!
