A request to support Art of the Sacred !
I create sacred art in the tradition of Classical Realism. Being self taught for ten years I am aware of a need for and great benefit from continuing education in art and how it cooperates with the architecture and the liturgy of sacred space.
I am hope to attend the "Architecture for Liturgy" classes taught by Fr. Daniel McCarthy, OSB SLD of the Pontifical Institute Rome, being presented in Wichita, Kansas USA in January of 2017, which includes dimensions of education for the artist and for the architect as both work in tandem to create sacred sanctuaries.
The two week program will be an intense immersion into how, beyond the functions of liturgy, does art and architecture raise us, often as a personal spiritual encounter, to heaven.
My prayer is to bring back precious insights, skill and passion for each new creation I paint for the experience of inspiration in the presence of God.
