As many of you know, for the better part of the last 8 months, I have been working tirelessly to not only run a restaurant, but to also help many in need throughout our city, county, and state. Successfully helping and changing the lives of thousands , with the help of the community, and often self funding these projects.
Unfortunately, as many have experienced, I find myself laid off and now waiting for the next big thing, and for unemployment funds to kick in. What some of you may not know, some do, is that since March I have been living in a hotel paying weekly, as I did not feel comfortable health wise staying in the previous place with roommates that I was in, due to my already compromised immune system with other issues.
I did not plan for this, and did not think this pandemic would put me in a place like this, therefore spent a lot of the money I earned the past 8 months into purchasing food and goods for the free giveaways I was able to put on.
Now I find myself, after all these months, with nearly no funds, no job, and awaiting unemployment to kick in.
This is embarrassing to have to ask for help, but I figured that with all the help I have been able to provide, its ok to ask for some support too.
I know that something bigger and better will come along in the next chapter of my life, and that I will be able to land strong on 2 feet with the opening of a new door, and continue to be able to help people in our community and find a job that I loved as much as the last one. Until then just need a little help.....Thank You for taking the time to read this.
