A Foot Of Hope

We are a happy family of 4 - me, my sister, mum and dad. My dad worked hard to provide us with the best he could afford. Time flies, we grew up, dad retired two years ago and enjoying his retirement spending more times with the family. But things took a drastic turn as dad was diagnosed with peripheral arterial disease and kidneys failures. He also needs renal dialysis on a regular basis. Dad could hardly walk and his condition progressively got worse, resulted having all the toes on his right leg amputated, then another just below the knee.

We were all hopeful to see dad walk again, probably with a prosthetic leg. But sadly, his left leg was affected as well and dad went through numerous procedures trying to save it. It saddened us to see dad in this condition as all procedures failed. What seemed to be the normal procedures or surgeries, were unable to perform as they involved high risks due to dad’s weak heart conditions. All these came to RM124,000.00 which we paid from our savings.

Dad is still in the hospital as he needs further medical treatments and monitoring, which will probably incurred another RM50,000.00. As dad does not has medical health insurance, the surgeries and other medical treatments have almost drained up our life time savings. We humbly appeal for any form of financial help/donations. Any amount big or small will definitely help.
