Juan Carlos Muñoz is having a very bad time and his life is at risk.

Juan Carlos, suffers from heart valve disease: three of the 4 valves do not work. As a result, Juan Carlos is hospitalized in a public hospital for more than a month fighting for his life. He needs a heart surgery to try to repair the 3 valves that are failing and, we say, "try", because it is a very life-threatening surgery. This surgery is not covered by the social security and his wife has to figure out how to get the money.

Day after day, juan Carlos' health is getting worst. He has lost more than half his weight, is unable to breathe and must be constantly on oxygen. His kidneys are working poorly, he needs hemodialysis, but, he is so weak that he may not be able to resist. His liver is also being affected, along with other organs.

To complicate matters, Juan Carlos contracted a fungus called “aspergillus”, very difficult to eliminate, which lodged in one of his lungs and, which, furthermore, cannot be treated correctly due to his great weakness. Due to the heart problem, Juan Carlos's blood coagulates abnormally and a thrombosis has formed in his left leg, and, his body is constantly swollen.

Juan Carlos is a hard-working person but with very few resources. He has three children, Carlitos, 9 years old, Nicol, 5, Ariana, 3, and his wife, Venancia, who no longer has from where to get resources to buy the medicines and labs that her husband needs - the social security doesn't cover all of them either and the hospital asks her to pay -, nor to buy food for her and her children, nor to pay for basic services in her home. She doesn't know what to look for first: money for the surgery, money for food or money for paying the bills.

The outcome of this health situation that Juan Carlos is experiencing is uncertain, however, with a great faith in God, he is desperately fighting for his life, worried about the sustenance and survival of his children and his wife. He only thinks about being able to get out of the hospital to help his family, although the chances of him working are nil.
This family is suffering a lot and, in the name of God, we appeal to the solidarity of good hearts to help them to over come this very hard moment and give Juan Carlos a chance to live.

God bless you all.
