A chance to live for tomorrow

Update posted by For Jack On Apr 18, 2018

This is a photo of Jack today March 22, 2018 after yesterday underwent surgery to remove a tube causing infection in the intestine. Currently Jack still can not defecate and dirt is still out of the stomach hose (green pouch next to Jack). We continue to pray that the problems in the bowel will soon improve and Jack can go straight to the next operation to change the shunting from the brain to the stomach.

Thanks donors who have donated to Jack. May God repay your kindness. Keep pray for Jack and us the family!

Update 2:

Doctor's diagnosis for Jack is currently the adhesive small bowel obstruction that is the adhesion of the intestine causing defecation (digestion leftover) back through the mouth. Until now Jack can not eat and drink anything because the intestine is not ready.

The first surgery yesterday was done to remove the end of the infection-causing tube from Jack's abdomen so that it now appears the end of the tube outside the abdomen and fluid coming from the brain drips out. This morning the doctor has taken a sample of brain fluid to be checked further while waiting 2 x 24 hours after the first operation. If later in 48 hours of intestine otherwise can not work properly, intestinal surgery should be done immediately.

We all hope that Jack will soon be able to show good progress so that it does not require intestinal surgery, because once everything is stable, there is still a major surgery to be done that is putting a new hose from the brain to the stomach (long replacement).

Funds that have been raised since yesterday the plan will be released today to increase the deposit in the hospital (deposit is calculated through the accumulated costs that have been formed during Jack hospitalized). The shortage of deposits per day is SGD 8515 (equivalent to 91 million rupiah) and most will be covered with funds already collected.

Thanks to the donors who have kindly donated to Jack. Certainly this donation will be very beneficial for the life of Jack and family. Thanks also to the doctors who have taken care of Jack patiently, and are graciously helpful in terms of medical and funding (some doctors are committed to giving free consultation to Jack during the hospital). Let's keep praying for Jack's recovery and strength for the family
