Campaign Story
As most of you know, Dean Biddulph was the former Ward 2 Councillor, a position I now hold. Most of you also know that Dean and myself were very good friends, I considered him family.
Most people remember Dean as a dedicated councillor, a fantastic friend, a loving father and an amazing husband. I believe that it's only fitting that we honour his legacy by dedicating a piece of the ward to him.
I have received approval to put a 3-seater bench down on the beachfront that will be put in a slab of concrete. The bench will have a plaque on it with some info of Dean. This bench can be used by everyone and it will have a beautiful view of the beachfront, something Dean played a massive part in shaping and making a reality.
Instead of paying for it myself or asking close friends or family to contribute, I have decided instead that it should be something that the entire community could contribute towards. Something people can look at and say that they played a role in that being there.
The final cost should not be more than R8,000 but anything donated above the amount needed will be donated to a charity in Ward 2. All the money raised will be accounted for and published on social media so that I can be held accountable.
Thank You!
