Help save layla by helping her raise funds for a kidney transplant

layla became sick just like any other person would be down with sickness in 2019. Initially we thought it was something that would be easily treated, which was treated with no improvement. After treatment the ailment persisted so the doctor prescribed further tests.

layla started noticing difficulty in passing urine, as well as going to the toilet to defecate. she had swollen feet, and I was always worried. Whenever she was back from school, I would remove her shoes and breakdown in tears, because her legs would be swolen. she also felt so tired whenever she wakes up in the morning that sometimes she could not go to school

One thing led to the other and I had to take her for medical checks. Initially we were going to our family doctor. It was after the sickness persisted that he had to prescribe further test, which after it was done he had to refer me to another hospital. It was later discovered that layla's kidneys were bad.

There was no remedy except for maintenance hemodialysis, which I was on for about 11 months. But then the long-term option was kidney transplantation, which we opted for and we started making efforts to get a donor and then look for funds because it was capital intensive.

The money was not there and we also had to convince people to get someone who would be willing to donate a kidney to layla.

We are using this platform to solicit for funds for Layla's transplant and would also go an long way in maintaining her health situation even after the transplant, because she would be on medication for the rest of her life. These medications are very expensive, you must take them every 12 hours for your system not to reject the kidney, which is a foreign body to yours.
