This Ramadan, be the light to their darkness in Gaza.
''Those who give, out of their own possessions, by night and by day, in private and in public will have their reward with their Lord.”
Quran 2:274
This Ramadan, is like no other, not for us not for people in Gaza. This Ramadan, Gaza will take over our thoughts and prayers, and whilst we may feel helpless, in this holy month, we can take action to bring them some relief.
Who are we?
We are called Team Hasanat - which means ' good deeds' in Arabic.
I, personally, have worked in the humanitarian field for over a decade including in Gaza with international NGO. So, I am leading a team of experienced humanitarian aid workers who have connection with Gaza. Through our network we are working with our field teams to directly support vulnerable families this Ramadan. We are all volunteers.
This is a unique initiative set up as we have the ability to reach families and have a direct response as aid entry into Gaza remains difficult and limited.
What will the funds be used for ?
During Ramadan, Palestinians in Gaza will observe fasting, even as they are facing starvation. Through our team on the ground we will provide some much needed short term relief through providing support so vulnerable families can feed themselves with dignity.
Your contribution will make a real difference to people who are struggling under unimaginable hardship. This is not only a good deed and a duty in this holy month of reward and worship but it is also an act of love and mercy. Each contribution, no matter how large or small will help us bring relief to those being forced to live under the most dire conditions.
Do I need to be Muslim to donate or join your team?
No. This is open to everyone who has one common goal, save Gaza.
