Campaign Story
Hey you! How do you select the rooftop photovoltaic capacity to install?
Maximum return? Well, I guess most of you. Or to generate as much electricity as you consume on an annual basis? I believe that's the second most common. But why do we size our PVs like that?
My name is László Gergely and that was the question I asked myself. And as an engineer (doing my PhD in Building Energy Engineering) I wanted to have some indicators to provide better (/technical) suggestion. Long story short, turned out that the existing metrics are not the best (basically uncapable) of allocating a PV capacity. So with dedication we improved two novel indicators for PV sizing! They are publicly available here.
Though in the meantime, PhD grant in Budapest is a really low wage (approximately 350 EUR/month). So I decided to fundraise to supplement this ridiculous income of last year.
If you are a renewable enthusiast, support me if you believe these supercool and handy indicators deserve it!
If your company/ boss is so, tell them here is a nice opportunity to support some young researchers on track!
Also, please share! I am curious whether big fishes will see this!
(Not to mislead anyone: currently I have started working, but anyway I want to make up for the huge amount of money lacked last year. Thanks for every little!)
Rewards
The "I ain't got money but like what you're doing". - not like a reward, more like a fast option to express appreciation -
To those who always shout out for climate protection and have the financials to donate as well. - not like a reward, more like a fast option to express appreciation -
The "hype" will be provided an exclusive hand-written & signed A4 sheet brief of the results. This amount of donation is believed to have high publicity, so ideal for eg. companies for promoting ways of supporting climate action.
