Support Catherene’s cancer treatment

Our helper Catherene was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Despite already having surgery here in Singapore, her cancer is an aggressive form which requires expensive drugs in addition to regular chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

We have been committed to helping her as much as we can while she is employed by us, but unfortunately we have discovered that we are unable to continue her insurance, which means that her work permit cannot be renewed and she will need to return to the Philippines later this year.

She will be sorely missed by our family.

Catherene has spent the last 9 years in Singapore working hard to help other families like ours, sending money home to educate her daughter. She and her family do not have the resources to pay for the treatment that she requires in order to beat her cancer and continue to support her daughter.

Catherene will need to complete most of her treatment after she returns to the Philippines, and we are looking to raise funds to pay for that treatment.

We would be very grateful for any support that you can offer her.

I (a lawyer here in Singapore) will be collecting funds received on her behalf and will be arranging for them to be paid to discharge her medical bills in the Philippines.
