Dental Pura Vida!

Hello! A hearty THANK YOU is in order for even considering this fundraiser! This is tough. Where to start? I find myself in a difficult financial predicament with the amount of dental work I need to fix a lifetime of bruxism. Bruxism is the medical term for grinding ones teeth in their sleep. This issue has affected me my whole life, and I have kept it in check, somewhat, by wearing a night guard while I sleep. Still, this condition has caused significant damage to my teeth by wearing them down over time. At 42 I find my chompers to be in quite poor condition indeed. I visited a cosmetic dentist in Salt Lake City last year, and this "cosmetic" procedure will cost upwards of $30,000 with an insurance deduction. That's right, insurance will only provide a small reduction in cost. Such is the state of dental insurance in this country! I don't consider this procedure to be purely cosmetic as I will surely lose my teeth at a fairly young age! That thought is pretty disturbing. The dentist says I need all my teeth recapped and remodeled. I cannot afford the 30k necessary for the work in the states. I just don't have that kind of money laying around, and I don't want to go into forever debt through credit cards, so I looked into getting the work done in Latin America. I know of a few people that have gotten affordable dental care in Mexico. As it so happens, my former co-worker, and friend Mario has a dental tourism company in Costa Rica. Mario had extensive work done in his home country and wants to help others get the care they need desperately. I have given the dentist down there (Mario as well) all my dental records, and he can do it for roughly HALF the cost of here in America! I believe this is my only viable option to get this life enhancing work accomplished, and I need your help. Whatever you can give will be deeply appreciated! This work will allow me to live a healthy and happy last half of my life. My wish is to be of benefit to others as much as is possible, and I will surely pay it forward in some way, shape, or form. There, that is my predicament, and my opportunity. May all beings be healthy and happy!
