Campaign Story
Albert Filgate, Father of 3, Husband and grandfather to 2 small babies has been diagnosed with stage 4 Renal Cancer. He is currently is Albert Luthuli hospital in Durban, Kzn, South Africa. About 2 years back he had the same cancer on his kidney and had the kidney removed all was going well. Then last year December he was in a car accident and at first he wasn't injured and was perfectly fine. Then slowly he started having headaches and started getting pains in his neck and shoulder, never thought to much of it and then it started getting worst he couldn't walk anymore he couldn't sit anymore finally went to the hospital and realized he has Renal Cancer... They did more checkups and scans and saw that it had spread to his neck, his heart, his lungs, his thyroid and lower back. Unfortunately the government hospital does not stock the chemo that he needs because they cant afford it. So here i am his oldest daughter trying to get donations together to hopefully be able to find a way to afford to get him the treatment he needs. Each bag of chemo cost R 30 000.00.... I need to do something i cant afford to loose him he has been unable to work for the past year due to this his wife also doesn't work and they are all currently living with me his youngest daughter is doing grade 10. Any donations would be highly appreciated. All donations would go to chemo treatment, fuel for driving to hospital, school fees and food.
