Hi! My name is Joanne Fields. I am thirty years oldand I am currently pursuing professional tennis.

Since I started playing tennis at the age of 12, my family and I have made many sacrifices. Like most journeys, I had many ups and downs; however, I continued to stay humble, persistent, and hard working. In the last four years, I can happily say I have found an even deeper meaning to the sport I play. I am now looking for support as I continue my tennis endeavors at the highest level.

Most people when they think of tennis, they think of grand slams. However, the journey to get there is tough filled with many obstacles. Most times, traveling is done alone, housing is usually at hostels, and all decisions are made with cost cutting in mind. Even though traveling to new places is a great adventure and learning experience, it is not rainbows and sunshine. One trip can cost $2,000 as tournaments are all over the world. I will need to play 15-20 tournaments per year in order to continue moving up in rankings.
