Help make our unhealthy house a home

2 years ago in the early stages of pregnancy my husband and I with our young son moved into a small 2 bed bungalow which was all we could afford at the time but which we thought we could expand it and make it into a lovely family home for the 4 of us.

Shortly after giving birth, I was made redundant and as the main breadwinner this has had quite an impact on our circumstances. We can’t afford to move but need to do something with the house to make it more liveable in; the whole house suffers from condensation and damp putting our family health at risk, the windows need replacing for one, the bath is falling off the wall and the kitchen white goods are slowly giving up, with our oven no longer working. Our daughter who shares a small bedroom with our son will soon require her own room as she’s moves out of her cot bed. I continue to search for a permanent role.

Although we can’t afford to extend the house we have worked out that we could reconfigure the space to add an additional bedroom and make the most out of the footprint of the house, this would be where you come in.

Please help us raise the money to make the necessary improvements to the house and reconfigure the internal space.
