Campaign Story
My family and I would like to request for medical/financial assistance regarding our son Danny. He is diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) secondary to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). He has been undergoing hemodialysis treatment for seven (7) years already. In 2008 he had failed kidney transplant wherein I, her mother, was her donor. In March 2011. It is our prayer that Danny be able to sustain her costly 4 times a week dialysis at P4K per session, 20+ pcs. medicines daily and 24/7 use of medical oxygen amounting to P2K+ everyday. Hence we are appealing for your help. As of this writing, Danny also needs to undergo two operations at the soonest time possible. The first operation is to fix her Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) catheter which was recently found to be non-functional due to the draining problems she has been experiencing. The operation is called Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Repositioning surgery to remove fatty tissues that cause blockage. The second operation is her Umbilical Hernia Repair to address her PD problem of having a hernia hence she is not able to maximize her PD treatment. We are aiming to raise funds both for the purpose of sustaining Danny on his dialysis and other medical expenses (considering that he is now totally dependent on medical oxygen), and for the two mentioned operations above. We would be forever grateful for whatever help you can extend to my son. Thank you for being Danny's lifeline.
