Campaign Story
For the past 10 months I have been going onto the streets in Manila and Dumaguete Philippines giving money and groceries to street kids to allow them to eat. Occasionally I deliver groceries to their mom or dad if I encounter them. Usually these kids between the ages of 7 and 12 are on their own. They sleep on the street, bathe in a river or in the rain.
Their total innocence struck me. They have done nothing to be in this situation. There smiles are heart warming and 100 pesos brings a glow of joy. They can eat for a day or two.
I have used my own funds for the time I've been here. I live simply. No hot water no kitchen. I pay $150 a month for a studio. I do have a bed and a small air conditioner thankfully.
I am a disabled non-service connected veteran living on $780 social security. I make another $500 per month working online. I need more funding to file as a non-profit with the IRS. Also to help more kids. I want to start a kitchen where they can come and get one meal a day and also get some love and perhaps a pair of flip flops and a shirt.
My heart is in this, I want stay here in the Philippines and do my part. Please help me if you can.
