£500.00raised of £2,000.00 goal goal
Please help to make this creative project happen by raising £2,000.00
The ‘Links Arts Opportunities Programme ' is aimed at introducing a wider community to art from an African Caribbean perspective.
The programme will provide an opportunity for emerging artist of African Caribbean descent to show their work alongside work of more established artist, creating a platform for those who lack the opportunity, knowledge and confidence to give their work exposure.
Artist Sharon Foster and Jacqueline McFarlane’s informal research showed that there is no space/gallery dedicated to artists of African and Caribbean descent in Waltham Forest, which was the inspiration to run the programme culminating in a Black History Month exhibition in 2017. They are both passionate about their culture and heritage which is expressed in their art. This programme will enable them to pass on their experience to emerging artist assisting them to get confidence and exposure and continue and grow in their creative journey.
If you can help them by donating at least £10.0 they would really appreciate it and you would be directly influential in the future of emerging artist and the wider awareness of African Caribbean art.
Sharon and Jacqueline’s experience in taking part and running both Group/Solo Exhibitions and Creative Activity Workshops in venues from 2011 -2017: Bargehouse Oxo Tower , Cell Studios, The Space, Vestry House Museum, The Bernie Grant Arts Centre, 639 Tottenham High road, The Gallery Café, Hilton Metropole and Winns Gallery.
