Campaign Story
Logan, who is a chronically ill trans woman living in Florida, was arrested for possession of the only effective medicine available to her (due to intersections of poverty and disability) while on her way to her grandfather's funeral in Louisiana.
Having been homeless and unable to generate any substantial income since last September, she needs our help getting to court, paying court/bail fees, and paying for state mandated drug tests.
Any money from this fundraiser not used for her defense will be used to support Logan as she continues to pursue legally available treatment for her severe heart condition and chronic pain.
UPDATE:
Her process has been dragged out, leaving her to have to travel back and forth between Florida and Louisiana a number of times and leading to a number of surprise costs. Bus tickets, Uber rides, court fees, extra phone minutes for legal consulting, lawyer fees, etc. have all made this more costly than she can currently afford. She and her support group is greatly thankful for the help that many have already given but we ask that you help her get to her next court date on June 22nd and we'll see where things progress from there.
