I have always wanted a puppy, but I have always been told no because of money issues. My family and I struggle with that. I know what you're probably thinking " Why get a dog if you have money issues." I can get a job, but I have social anxiety. It'll be very hard for me to keep my job, but once I overcome that, I will do my best to be able to keep the puppy.

I am 15 years old and have always wanted a puppy as long as I can remember. I heard that having an animal, especially dogs, help a person get more comfortable with how they are and is able to cope with depression and being lonely. It also teaches the person responsibility, which is what I really need to learn. Getting a puppy will help me more than you'll ever realize.

$500 of the money will go straight to my apartments because they made it where you have to pay a deposit fee before you're allowed to even have a dog in your apartment. $100 will go for the dog, and the rest will go for a cage for when Im at school and mom's at work, food, toys, leash, collar, and anything else that is needed.

Why you should get involved:

Have you ever walked by a child or teenager and seen the way they are? Have you seen the sadness in their eyes, how they act, how they talk? Have you heard what an average teenager might say, like being lonely? Wishing to have a friend that will love them, no matter what? Now, add a pet to that child or teenager. See how happy they get? How excited? They have a friend. They aren't fully lonely anymore. Their views on life might change, and you never know, having a pet might save that person's life. You never know.
