US$290.00raised of $4,000.00 goal goal
Campaign Story
My name is Kurtis and I am 26 years old. I am a Disabled Army Veteran that is not receiving any benefits to attend college. Thats right I have been doing this on my own. I was working a full time job and saving as much money as possible to pay for my future college courses. Due to some unexpected curve balls I am seeking some extra help with college. I am currently attending Butte Community College in Oroville, Ca. I began attending college 3 years ago with no idea what I wanted to become. 3 long years later I have made the decision that I want to become a Registered Nurse.
Night classes were the best option to achieve this goal. Due to the budget cuts in Californias Colleges there is a limited availability on the courses I can attend at night. The only options I have left are courses that only occur during the day. So I will not be able to work at all. I have two years of college left and have a goal to graduate by 2015 with an Associates Degree in Registered Nursing.
Without your help however, that dream will become unreachable. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated even if it is only a dollar. Even if you cannot any money at the moment, I ask that you please give a minute of you time to share this with family, friends or colleagues. The money will be used to help pay for books, materials and tuition payments to the college.
Thank You For Any Support God Bless
Sincerely,
Kurtis Brown
