30 Hour Famine

30 Hour Famine is a fundraising program created by World Vision, a Christian Ministry. 

The purpose is to raise money to provide food, resources, and care for children and families around the world, including the United States. 

Just $1 can feed a child for AN ENTIRE DAY and $360 can feed a child for AN ENTIRE YEAR!

WHAT I DO AS A PARTICIPANT:

- I go without eating for 30 hours.

- I find sponsors to donate to my cause.

- I participate in community service during the thirty hours that I fast.

WHY?

The reason I go without food is to be reminded that there is still so much hunger in the world, although I am blessed to have food every day. It's a personal sacrifice to contribute to my cause and to show people that I believe that this fundraiser makes a difference in the lives of others. At the same time, I do community service give back to my own local community because 30 Hour Famine is not just about aiding hunger, it's also about serving wherever and whenever you have the opportunity to.
