2022 Sunshine Fortune Bags Program

Sunshine Action 耀陽行動 is a small but impactful humanitarian charity organisation founded in 2008 that aids Hong Kong’s underprivileged. Our mission is to feed the hungry and warm the abandoned.

Volunteering events are held to pack fortune bags containing food and necessities, which are then distributed to Hong Kong’s homeless, street sleepers, as well as those living underneath the poverty line. In 2021, Sunshine Action has supported over 30,000 low-income families directly, while donating 24,000 fortune bags to 191 local charities in Hong Kong and abroad.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we realise that even more people are in need during these times of crises, and therefore, Sunshine Action is tripling program loads to support more people.

Note that Sunshine Action is fully run by volunteers with no overhead costs, so 100% of your donations will be used to help those in need. Each fortune bag is made up of around $100 worth of food and necessities.
