PLEASE HELP US HELP DEVON'S BADGERS BY DONATING TO OUR 2017 CULL FUND

The badger cull has resumed for another year. Devon is the worst hit county and they will aim to kill more than 9000 of our badgers in the next couple of months through trapping and shooting.

Last year we protected setts in the north Devon cull zone. Halfway through, the cull company realised they weren't meeting their kill targets, so rather than admitting defeat what did they do? They slashed their target in half in the last few weeks of the cull. We can't take all the credit for that, but we know that many lives were saved as a result of our actions and the actions of others who joined us in that zone.

We have always fought the cull as hard as possible, with our sabs giving up their free time and booking leave from work to be able to protect our badgers, and this year is no exception. We have already spent the whole summer sett surveying and have hit the ground running now the cull is underway.

However, as always we need your help! The cull costs our group on average £2000 each year in fuel alone. This is the first of our cull fundraisers for this year. Please help us reach our fundraising target by donating what you can.

  • By funding sabs you endorse the illegal activity which they conduct. Badger cull, they spend all their time trying to stop or hinder the cull. This is a legal activity, regardless of your view it is an offence to obstruct a legal activity. Straying off footpaths trespass, hanging around on a foot path to obstruct a lawful activity Again illegal. While out in the cull zones these people stumble across pheasant pens, they have been smashing them up destroying feeders, drinkers and shelters. Leaving 8 week old birds to suffer as they thought the drinker was a snare! animal cruelty !! Tearing down fences, leaving livestock to wonder and put them in harms way. If this is what they want them to do they should fund themselves.
