2014 USRowing Youth Nationals

Update posted by micaelaemilyroccs On May 11, 2014

We still can't belive it we actually qualified for nationals!! We placed first in both heats against Jacksonville who beat us at states a couple weeks ago and also got 1st semi-finals. We didnt have the fastest time out of the different heats but it allowed us to get one of the best lane in the final- Lane 4!! We came off the starts 2nd and maintained that the entire way increasing our 2nd place lead by a boatlength! No time to stop now, we are back to training tomorrow with less than 4 weeks till the big one!! We are so thankful to everyone who has helped us along the way making our dreams come true!! :D

Hi everyone!!!

We are halfway through the FSRA Sculling States weekend and are the favorites to win the state title tomorrow afternoon!!! We came first in our heat with the fastest overall time, beating the other teams we raced against by two or more boat lengths. Thank you so much to everyone that has supported us through this amazing season. We are racing in the final for the womens double scull at 12:24 tomorrow, and can't wait to show all of the teams in Florida just how strong we are as a team! So far we have been unstoppable, due to our intense training and the outstanding support system that has been established by friends and family. It is a wonderful feeling to cross the finish line while hearing everyone cheering for you, and everyone that has supported us in our journey to become champions on the national level has played such an important part in making our dreams come true. Thanks again to everyone, and we will post an update regarding tomorrow's results ASAP!!!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update... Only three weeks to go until States and we are so ready to WIN!!! Today was the first day of spring break training, and we are SO excited for the opportunity to work hard every day this week and get even faster!!! Thank you so much to the Dorans and Gardners for donating!!! Every dollar donated brings us one step closer to being able to sit at the start line of the A final at Nationals, ready to show the US what we can do!!! We have a 2k erg test coming up this Thursday, and both of us are expecting significant PRs :) We are getting faster in the double with each passing day, our girls varsity quad can't even keep up with us!!! Thank you again to everyone and we will keep everyone posted on our adventure towards California!!!

Until next time!
