Micaela Hill and Emily Hall are vigorously training day in and day out to prepare ourselves to compete with the best  to become the best at 2014 USRowing Youth Nationals held in Gold River, California June 13th to 15th. Emily and Micaela are hoping to raise $2,400 for both of us to help accomidate flight expenses, boat rentals, and hotel fees. All donations are greatly appreciated! :)

About Us:

Micaela-

Micaela began rowing when she was a sophmore in high school and was a natural! She began rowing in sweep (one oar) boats, then in sculling (two oars). She competed at the 2012 Sculling states placing 6th. She was then paired up with Emily for the upcoming two season, placing 1st in every local race and eventually placing 2nd by 2 seconds at 2013 Sculling states.  This season Micaela has placed 6th out of 42 teams from around the country at the Head of the Hooch Regatta in Chattanooga TN. In the double (2x) Micaela and Emily dominated at Sarasota Invitationals placing 1st by over 8seconds and recieving a trophy to take home! This season being her last she wants to go out with a bang! Wanting to place 1st in States, Regionals which consists of FL, GA, AL, NC, SC, TN, and then making A-Final at Youth Nationals!

Emily-

Emily began rowing the summer before her freshman year in high school and fell in love with the sport. Since starting, she has lost 40 pounds and is now a lot more confident and competitive. She competed in the 2nd Varsity category for the double in the 2012 Regional competition and placed first. She was then paired with Micaela for the following seasons to create the strongest girl's double that ROCCS has ever had. The two placed first in every race they entered in their first season together, and finished with a second place title for the state of Florida. In the fall of 2013, Emily and Micaela competed at the Head of the Hooch in Chatanooga, Tennessee, placing 6th out 42 doubles from around the country (they were only 3 seconds behind 2nd place!). This is Micaela's senior year in high school and both girls want to show the rest of the country just how fast they truly are together by winning States, Regionals, and making A-Final (hopefully picking up a medal!) at Youth Nationals!
