2014 Junior Olympics

Introduction

Hello. My name is Zavian Cook and I am so excited to say that I have qualified to compete in the 2014 USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships! I am eleven years old and I run for the Vegas Speed Track Club. I have been competing for three years and this is my second time qualifying for the Junior Olympics. I qualified for the 2013 Junior Olympics in the 200 yard dash, 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay. I was blessed to have medaled in all three events!

The Sport

I like the sport of track and field and even more I enjoy competeting and winning. I am dedicated, hard working and determined. This year I qualified for the 2014 Junior Olympics in the 200 yard dash and the 4x400 relay. I pray that I do my best to make it to the podium. I have been training since February of this year and I strive to do my best to be on top because when it's time, I will be ready for...On Your Marks...Get Set...GO!

Thankful

I am thankful for those athletes who have path the way. Because of their preserverence, doors were opened to allow individuals such as myself the opportunity to be a part of such a historical experinece.  My overall goal is to run for the USA Olympic Team.

Historical Event

Being a part of this historical event is very costly. Your support will help towards air fair, room and board, healthy foods, transportation and entry fees. Whatever you donate is highly appreciated. The Vegas Speed Track Club is a non-profit organization so your donations are tax deductible. The 2014 Junior Olympics is being held on July 21st-27th, 2014 at the Turner Stadium in Humble TX.
