$1 for Gaza

There were bombs going off, not in the distance, but next door. Bright lights lit up the sky all night long as Amal and her family prayed throughout the night.

Neighborhoods obliterated, bodies that had been turned to ashes and still smoking the following day, children with missing limbs. This is not just Amal's story—this is also the story of 2 million Palestinians who have been displaced in Gaza. And we all know this because we have been watching this genocide live stream from our phones. I know this, because I receive messages everyday from families in Gaza desperate for help.

My name is Candice King and together with my husband, Jonathan and my baby, Aurora, we are South Africa’s most followed travel family (@candy_and_the_kings).

After traveling to Palestine, we witnesses firsthand the crimes against humanity that the Palestinians endure.

Since 2023, we’ve been using our platform to shed light on this humanitarian crisis, raise funds for aid and connect with families in Gaza. We’ve had 100s of families reaching out to us asking to help in various ways: sanitary supplies, emergency aid, funds for evaluation, medical equipment, diapers/formula for babies, and food.

We are asking our followers to please give $1 to Gaza. This is less than it costs in gas to go to a protest.
