You can still donate! I am sending the funds over on August 8!
I've cycled 100 miles in the Prudential 100 to raise funds to stand with the Black Lives Matter movement.
Specifically, I am fundraising for the Black Youth Project 100.
They started as 100 young black activists responding to the acquittal of George Zimmerman in 2012. Today they are a national collective of 18 to 35-year-old activists led by the inspiring Charlene Carruthers, focusing on 'intersectional liberation'. Check. her. out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlene_Carruthers
They 'engage in local and national campaign work through a Black feminist and queer lens on issues such as dismantling the prison industrial complex, LGTBQ and gender justice, expanding women’s rights and voting rights.'
They work with their sister organisation, Black Youth Project based at the University of Chicago, to produce policy agendas and platforms for action. And it is impressive. Here is their latest 'Agenda to Build Black Futures': http://agendatobuildblackfutures.org/our-agenda/so...
They lift up the voices and experiences of black youth by publishing their news, opinion pieces and videos - a much needed initiative in the journalism industry I have come to know.

They act. They mobilize and demonstrate around the country. They are part of the powerful network, Movement for Black Lives: https://medium.com/@movement4blacklives/freedomnow...
I am in awe of them. They are the future.
Here is where you get to give change for change!
Lots of love and thanks,
Meg xx
Info on my unique donation method
I didn't want the funds I raise to fall into the void which is why I chose an organisation where every dollar matters. While this is important to me, it makes it difficult to donate to so I have set up a page that allows for Paypal donations. This way I can receive dollars or pounds and then hand it over to them in dollars once I finish collecting. I have also left the donation window open to August 8th - a week after my ride. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
