1 Month Childcare Volunteering in Bali -2016

I will be leaving the UK on the 14th July 2016 to spend 1 month volunteering full time on a childcare programme in Ubud, Bali.

After funding this trip myself I am limited to what I can personally financially donate so I am aiming to raise as much money as possible to go towards this trip and the childcare centre that I will be working at.

Your donations will make a huge difference towards the lives of the children, staff and the children’s families! Your money will contribute towards several things including the general running of the centre such as feeding the children, furniture and games.

I will be teaching and supporting disadvantaged children with the aim of giving them a head start before they begin formal schooling. Few foreigners travel to Ubud and surrounding villages, subsequently making my time there even more important. I will be focusing on making learning a fun and enjoyable experience for all of the children, while building their confidence and social skills. Without this help and support from volunteers the few members of staff in childcare centres and schools are unable to give the children the help and attention they require. By volunteering it also enables more children to attend the centre, therefore allowing their parents time to work and earn money. Increased tourism in Bali has meant that those able to converse in English with foreigners have far more prospect than those that can’t. Education at this level will allow them to improve their future and that of their families.
