Get Jack a Friend for Life

Our son Jack has recently been dignosed with ASD Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Jack is 6 years old and a wonderful young boy, with a few more extra struggles in his life. Jack suffers with his temper, poor co ordination, lack of concentration, and finds it very hard in different social enviroments, and at school . Myself, my wife Lauren, and Jacks school have been looking into lots of different ways we can help him in his life going forward, and one of the things Lauren and I would love to do is to get Jack an autism service dog. These dogs are specially trained to be a constant companion for children with Autism. They have a special harness to stop the children from bolting when they get stressed in a public place. They are also known to have a fantastic calming effect on the child, which in turn helps to ease temper tantrums and aids concentration levels.  Jack needs to feel safe and secure at all times. and these dogs are trained to be a consistant companion to them, even sleeping in thier rooms at night so that they feel that there is always someone there. We need all the help that we can get  to raise funds for one of these dogs, and we would appreciate any help. Any funds we raise over and above the cost of a dog, will be donated to the organisation that trains and provides these services, and Jacks school.  Thanks for taking the time to read our story.
